Purpose of the COP26 Legacy Grants

We want to help organisations in our area to undertake action on carbon reduction.

We are providing grants to community groups, businesses, charities, and other similar organisations that are keen to take action to address climate change. This funding opportunity aims to support a range of carbon-cutting projects that reduce energy use and resource waste in buildings, organisations, or communities. These might include installing energy efficient lighting in a building, buying community assets such as hot-boxes for food waste, or installing a communal electric car-charging point.

We can support the following types of organisation:

  • Community Groups
  • SME businesses (up to 249 FTE employees)
  • Registered charities or Charitable Incorporated Organisations (registered with the Charity Commission)
  • Town and Parish Councils
  • Schools and colleges
  • Sole Traders
