Discover Brightwater

Discover Brightwater is a £3.3 million Landscape Partnership Programme supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. This is a programme of events, projects, and activities over the next couple of years, aiming to restore, reveal, and celebrate life around the River Skerne, starting near the Trimdons via Hurworth Burn Reservoir, then flowing south
near Fishburn, Bishop Middleham, Sedgefield, Newton Aycliffe, and Darlington.
