NECAT Environmental Conference

North East Churches Acting Together are hosting a free one day conference via Zoom.

Are you a church member who is interested in Care for Creation, Impacts of Climate Change, practical steps to becoming an Eco Church, action in the North East of England and more?

This Ecumenical Conference for churches in the North East of England will look at how we can work together to tackle the issues of Climate Change. It will look at the biblical imperative for us to Care for Creation and talk about some of the practical steps we may be able to take, including becoming an Eco Church and joining the North East Climate Coalition.

Keynote Speakers:

Sir Paul Ennals, Convening Chair of NEECCo – How the coalition was formed and how individuals and churches can help

Rachie Ross, Trustee of Operation Noah – Insights from the Biblical Narrative in Exodus

Ben Niblett, Tearfund – How climate change is affecting the poorest in the world.

Pam Martin, on behalf of A Rocha – Pam’s church has achieved a Gold Eco Church award and will look at how others can engage in the award.

Plus breakout discussion rooms and stories linked to action, practical advice and support.
