DataJam needs your help

DataJam is a community of people from all sectors, areas and interests with a passion for making things better through practical action. DataJam North East creates opportunities for people passionate about the North East to come together, connecting and building a community, to explore how we can use data to improve the lives of people in our region. Focusing on the major economic, social and environmental challenges we face, we try to do this with our collective skills and data through practical action.

Now they need your help. DataJam is planning to host a hackathon with NEECCo and additional sponsors.

What is a hackathon?

A hackathon is an event where a large number of people, usually computer programmers and others involved in software development, meet to engage in collaborative computer programming.

How to get involved

The event will be hosted in the Autumn and we would like to understand how we can best organise the event. We would like to schedule the hack at a time and in a way which will enable as many of those from the community who would like to take part to participate.

We would be grateful if you could complete our short survey to help us shape an event for our community.

DataJam will do their best to accommodate everyone and appreciate any feedback given. If you have any comments you would like to share directly, you can email nicd@newcastle.ac.uk
